Bredonborough.
The Minx does not want me to leave…
… but despite these especial pleadings of the Minx, I am driving to Falmouth to visit the Willis family.

… a journey, door to door, of 240 miles.Deacon Peter & The Great Roberto…
I have now been driving to Cornwall to visit Brother Peter, following our time together at Randolph House & 10 months at Sherborne (1975-76), on various projects & mutual arising interests, for 30 years.
Three boxes of fresh cream cakes, carried from Bredonborough High Street, were entirely consumed by the Willis family & visitors. Next time I’ll bring more – there weren’t enough! I mentioned to the Willistines (ie the young Willises). There were for us – but not for you! was their response, having noticed adult feeding patterns at the table. It’s true. Three boxes, fully loaded, just don’t hold enough cakes.
Peter, Jo, Anna, John, Michael, Mary & Bump, the about-to-be-becoming fifth Wilistine scheduled to arrive in October…
The nominal reason for this visit was to collect several of Peter’s newer paintings, which have been framed. (The artwork of TOAPP was based on a Willlis painting, now hanging at World HQ). The VRHHL’s dilapidated & shabby car duly loaded, Peter gave me two remarkable books; these I would not, in the normal course of things, have discovered for myself. Sometimes, the books we need find us, especially when we have good friends to help them on their way towards.
